Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be artistic? Absolutely not! The joy of block-printing is that it is as easy or complex as you want and even people who think they have no artistic talent produce wonderful pieces. No prior experience is necessary and Suzanne will be on hand throughout to guide and advise you.
Do I need to wear anything special? We provide you with an apron for the duration of the workshop, but you might want to wear something old in case paint gets on your sleeves.
How long does each workshop last? Our 3-hour long workshops give you enough time to relax, have fun and create something you can be really proud of to take home with you.
What is included in the workshop? The price includes all paint, either a tea towel or tote bag to print (although for our seasonal workshops other textiles will be offered) and use of an extensive array of traditional, hand-crafted, Indian wooden blocks. Refreshments and protective clothing are also provided during the session plus the guidance of block-print-trained graphic designer Suzanne.

Can I buy extra items to print on once I am there? Other textiles such as cushions, napkins and aprons are available at a small extra cost can be purchased once you arrive or you can pre-book these extras online when you book. We find that attendees only usually have the time to print one or two pieces.
Is there parking nearby? We have space for two cars on the drive and there is free parking on the road outside as well.
Do I need to arrange my own group to attend? You can either book a place for yourself to join other like-minded printers or gather you own group of family or friends for a celebration or just for the fun of it! Alternatively, book it for a team building exercise - the sheer mindfulness and pleasure of creating can help a team build its connection and enjoy each other's company.
Do you provide refreshments? Yes. Tea, coffee and water plus chocolate covered nuts.
