Testimonials

Thank you to all the various lovely attendees at my work shops.

Here are some of their comments:

I booked a morning workshop for my mother and sister as a birthday present. It was great fun. Suzanne demonstrated the block printing technique and let us practice on a fabric square before we moved to creating our own designs on items of our choice (eg tea towel, tote bag). there were lots of lovely colours and blocks to choose from and it was very enjoyable (and almost therapeutic!) doing the printing and creating our designs in the lovely studio - conveniently situated next to the Brocket Arms pub for a birthday lunch. We all really enjoyed it. I'd definitely go again.

Thank you for a brilliant workshop this morning! I so enjoyed printing my tea towel and also seeing what the other ladies had printed on theirs! It was lovely to immerse myself in something creative and completely new. I'll be back for more!

I absolutely loved my time in Suzanne's Indian block printing studio. I am not in the least bit artistic; and it was so pleasing to produce something that looked like it had been done by someone who is!

Block printing is really easy to get the hang of, and there is loads of inspiration and examples in the studio for what you can create, along with Suzanne's gentle and encouraging patience.

You lose yourself totally in the process: time flies and the distractions of daily life are blissfully silent. I am really looking forward to another session soon.

Suzanne, thank you again for a lovely afternoon. It’s was just what Laura needed as she has been struggling later with her MS. It was also a great escape for me as my husband has dementia.

Suzanne was so welcoming to us as soon as we arrived in the beautiful barn studio. Everything was prepared for us and after a quick explanation from Suzanne we were straight in practising the block printing on squares of cotton.

It didn't take long to be inspired and my friend and I were soon utterly immersed in the creative process (not bad for two medics!). The other members of the group were really friendly too. It was a great morning  and we will be back!

I literally cannot recommend the Sundara workshops too highly. The space: the studio is beautiful, calm and full of examples to inspire you. The materials: there are so many gorgeous options of items to print and beautiful blocks and inks to use. The teacher: best of all though is Suzanne, who always leads the session personally. She is so talented but also patient and gently guides even the most unartistic and nervous printer (me!) to create something truly beautiful to take home.

It's staggering what you can create under her guidance!

It was so much fun, so mindful and relaxing. I was really proud of what I managed to create with minimal artistic talent, thanks to Suzanne's patient encouragement! Rounded off by a lovely lunch at the Brocket. Perfect day out!
